The Japanese government has officially committed a substantial grant of 3,568 million yen, equivalent to approximately US$23 million, dedicated to enhancing Cambodia’s water infrastructure. This significant financial aid is specifically earmarked for the expansion of the water supply system within Takhmao City. The commitment was formally announced through a press release issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
According to the Ministry’s statement, this additional grant serves as a clear reflection of Japan’s steadfast and unwavering commitment to promoting the socio-economic development of Cambodia. Furthermore, the initiative is poised to significantly strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two nations, reinforcing their comprehensive strategic partnership.
